Shelley built My Benefits Buddy because she lived through housing insecurity herself.

After rebuilding her life through the PATH Project, she became a psychiatric case manager and witnessed countless families struggle to navigate disconnected systems, confusing applications, and missed opportunities for help.

Too many people were told:

“Just apply online.”

…when they didn’t even have access to a computer.

Others were denied benefits simply because nobody explained the process clearly.
